Although I would still like to write about The Stand at some point: that's the book I mentioned at the start of this run of posts as being perhaps my favourite ever novel. But it would have to be quite an involved post, I think – maybe even a series – and all this death and destruction's worn me out a bit, so we'll have to leave that for another day.Nick Jones (Louis XIV, the Sun King)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17716508525331235684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5448581132479481740.post-3828052840325326362011-10-27T10:20:01.895-04:002011-10-27T10:20:01.895-04:00After this two week run of post-apocalyptic posts,...After this two week run of post-apocalyptic posts, I've had a change of heart about book club editions. Previously, I felt one had to avoid book club editions at all times. As it becomes increasingly clear that we are all doomed - be it from hyperspatial construction, urban riots, a creeping existential ennui, nuclear war, the XYZ bomb, the moon crashing into the ocean, Triffids, zombies, or virals - it is okay to have a book club edition. Or, rather, the edition no longer matters as we are all doomed.Book Gluttonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14569975755798562829noreply@blogger.com
